We also make sure the patient understands the treatment and the total cost so there are no surprises. We strongly believe the patient is in control of their health therefore we can better construct a plan that fits their specific situation.

Our Dental Team
The team members at the Dental Office are known for being knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Our team, led by Dr. Chad Brown, has been providing a different dental experience for over 25 years. Dr. Brown prides himself on his relentless pursuit of education. Dentistry is always evolving and he wants to stay relevant and cutting edge, always trying to provide the best treatment possible for his patients.
Dr. Chad Brown
Dentist
Dr. Chad Brown graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, NE, in 1998. He has been in practice for 25 years and is proud to be the owner of The Dental Office. His interests include all sports, golfing, music, woodworking and travel. Dr. Brown has completed the core curriculum at the famous Dawson Academy in St. Petersburgh, Florida, where he has learned to diagnose and treat TMJ-related problems and complex restorative cases. He is currently working towards the advanced courses that focus on severe TMJ cases and managing the subsequent disease. Dr. Brown is also known among his patients for his attention to detail and his comfortable injections!
Emily Strouth
Dental Assistant
Emily began working as a Dental Assistant at The Dental Office in November 2010. She is certified in CPR/AED, Dental Radiography, and as of July 2014 has her Expanded Functions certification. She and her husband Curt live in Spirit Lake with their three children Reese, Gavin, and Norah as well as their dogs, Winston and Jersey. Emily enjoys keeping busy, chasing after her kids, and all of their events, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Her favorite part of her job is giving someone a confident smile. Emily is one of the friendly smiles you will see if you choose to embark in an orthodontic journey at our office. She feels fortunate to be a part of such a great team.
Beth Hamill
Office Manager
Beth Hamill has been with The Dental Office since 2008. She is the office manager and a registered dental assistant. Beth graduated from Northwood University in Midland Michigan with a degree in Marketing and Business Management. She is an Indiana native but now refers to Iowa as her home. One of Beth’s proudest accomplishments has been her ability to overcome her HUGE fear of sitting in the dental chair! She has been on numerous mission trips to Haiti with Dr. Brown and the team. Beth is married to Chad Hamill (Confusing having your husband & boss with the same first name) and they have 2 boys, Peter and Max, and a daughter named Jane. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, eating “Great” food and watching classic movies-Anything with Cary Grant in it, is a must see!
Cassie Wolthuizen
Dental Hygienist
Cassie Wolthuizen has been with the team since February 2015. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, she provides patients with routine cleanings, periodontal therapy, dental sealants, and local anesthesia. She graduated from Sheldon High School in 2008 and received her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, IA in 2013. She holds certification in local anesthesia administration and nitrous oxide sedation. Cassie takes pride in being a dental hygienist and the opportunity to getting to know her patients and understand their specific wants and needs for their dental health. Cassie resides in Sheldon with her two daughters, Kyla and Berkley, and their dogs, Roxy and Cooper. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
Tessa Loeschen
Dental Hygienist
Tessa Loeschen is a registered Dental Hygienist in Iowa and South Dakota. She has been with The Dental Office since February 2015. Currently, she holds certifications in local anesthesia administration, nitrous oxide/oxygen sedation, and trained in both CPR and AED for the professional rescuer. Her career began with clinical rotations at the South Dakota Developmental Center, Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, as well at the South Dakota State Penitentiary through her schooling at the University of South Dakota. She is a recipient of the Dr. Peter R Thraen Service award upon graduation from the University of South Dakota. Tessa currently resides in Sheldon with her two daughters, Ella and Emery. In her free time, she enjoys scrap booking, reading, movies, and time with family and friends.
Ashley Braaksma
Front Office
Ashley Braaksma has been with The Dental Office since February 2016. She works at the front desk, so she is the first person to greet you when you arrive for your visit! She will be happy to assist you with any insurance or billing questions. Ashley graduated from The University of Kansas in 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Art History. She loves Italian Renaissance and Feminist Art. Although she will always be a Kansas girl at heart, she now refers to Iowa as her home. She resides in Sheldon with her husband, Brandon and their dog, Tillie. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, reading, watching the bravo channel, and drinking a glass of chardonnay.
Becky Walker
Dental Hygienist
Becky Walker has been with The Dental Office since March 2022. She is a registered Dental Hygienist in Iowa and Nebraska. She is certified in local anesthesia and has completed her training in both CPR and AED for the professional rescuer. She graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, then went on to the University of Nebraska Medical Center to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. Becky current resides in George with her husband, 2 children, and 2 dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities with family and friends. Becky is part of the orthodontic team at The Dental Office and is passionate about maintaining healthy gums and teeth during the duration of both adult and child orthodontic treatment.
Pam Arends
Dental Assistant
Pam started working as a Dental Assistant in July 1998 and joined The Dental Office in June 2019. She is certified in CPR/AED and Dental Radiography. She obtained her Expanded Functions in 2022. She and her husband Brian reside on a farm between George and Little Rock and have 3 adult children Kaley (husband Rick), Makenna, and Connor along with their dog Cooper and their cat Lucky. In her spare time she enjoys camping, fishing, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends. She loves helping patients in every aspect of dental care and likes to make sure that all patients get great care and feel comfortable while in the dental chair. She feels so grateful for being able to be a part of The Dental Office family!
Claudia Ronquillo
Front Office
Claudia Ronquillo has been with The Dental Office since February 2022. She works at the front desk, so she will be there to greet you and check you in! Claudia is bilingual (habla en español). She was born in Mexico, but grew up in Rock Valley where she graduated early from the public school. She then started working in manufacturing right after graduation. Claudia enjoys her job and getting to know the patients, she hopes to become a dental assistant in the future! She also enjoys spending time outdoors with her fiancé, family, friends and her fur babies.
Morgan Erpelding
Dental Hygienist
Morgan Erpelding is a registered dental hygienist in Iowa. She recently joined The Dental Office the summer of 2023. Morgan graduated from Algona High School in 2019. She went on to attended Hawkeye Community College and graduated with a Dental Assisting degree in 2021, and graduated with her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 2023. She also holds a certification in local anesthesia administration. Morgan loves seeing children as she worked in a pediatric dental office as a dental assistant while completing dental hygiene school. Morgan takes pride in the work she does and is eager to get to know the patients at The Dental Office. Morgan currently resides in Sheldon with her fiancé Brandon and red lab Axe. Morgan has always dreamed of becoming a dental hygienist since she was a little girl, and now her dream is a reality.
